Pirates of the Caribbean 4 : On Stranger Tides

Jack Sparrow and Barbossa embark on a quest to find the elusive fountain of youth, only to discover that Blackbeard and his daughter are after it too.

Steph... Oh Pirates franchise, your first movie was so good, what happened? Now don't get me wrong, this one was a vast improvement from the last 2 but no where near as good as the first. Johnny Depp was cute and entertaining as always (no matter what movie he is in he's always fun to watch). But he shouldn't have to carry this franchise by himself (like he has been). So because of Johnny Depp this movie was ok and just ok.

Kris... Steph nailed her review of this one. Better than numbers 2 and 3 but no where near the first one. But if you've seen the first one then you will see this one also. And as you leave you will have the same reaction i did. It was just ok.

Fast Five

Dominic and his crew find themselves on the wrong side of the law once again as they try to switch lanes between a ruthless drug lord and a relentless federal agent.

Steph... Eh? You know what you're getting when you go and see this. Logic is in NO WAY supposed to be used. Its just a fun brainless action flick. I don't mean that in a negative way. That's just what it is. If you're a fan of all the "Fast and Furious" films you won't be disappointed. Other than that it was all right.

Kris... I liked this one a lot. Maybe not as much as the first one but right there with the second one. All the actors are solid. Unlike a lot of people i am a fan of paul walkers and i thought he was good here. Also i like that they made it less about the cars and more about a money heist. Also the rock needs to get back into action movies. He is good in this one. I say go see this one.

Bridesmaides

Picked as her best friend's maid of honor, lovelorn and broke Annie looks to bluff her way through the expensive and bizarre rituals with an oddball group of bridesmaids.


Steph... I was really looking forward to seeing this. I hadn't been to the movies in a while and this was supposed to be the girl version of "The Hangover." I was stoked! The movie started at 8:30pm and by 9:02pm I looked over at Kris and said, "Done." If we had been at home I would've turned it off. What a disappointment! Now I will admit there are parts that are funny,Kristen Wiig has a few good moments, and I really liked Jon Hamm (the douchey friend with benefits), Chris O'Dawd (the cop that likes Annie), and Melissa McCarthy (Megan, the grooms sister and wild card of the bunch). Other than those bright spots, this movie is not worth your time. Very Disappointing :(

Kris.. The hangover for women? Really? This one was pretty bad.There were some funny moments but they were far and few between. Kristen Wiig is a good actress but i don't think she is cut out to be a lead actress. The funniest part of this movie was her friend megan played by Melissa McCarthy.Jon Hamm and Chris O'Dawd where strong but just couldn't help make this movie even ok.I say maybe rent this if you and a bunch of your girlfriends want to get drunk watching a bad movie. Or you could just watch the hangover and pretend there all women in the movie.

Monsters

Six years ago NASA discovered the possibility of alien life within our solar system. A probe was launched to collect samples, but crashed upon re-entry over Central America. Soon after, new life form began to appear and half of Mexico was quarantined as an INFECTED ZONE. Today, the American and Mexican military still struggle to contain "the creatures"...... The movie begins when a US journalist agrees to escort a shaken tourist through the infected zone in Mexico to the safety of the US border.

Kris... I really liked this one.It had a smaller budget intimacy without a low budget production scale. Go online and read how it was made its a great story. Anyways the two main actors are really good and the creatures are used just enough that its startling when they appear on screen. Other than being a little slow in parts while they get you to care about the characters this one is really good. You should check out monsters.

Steph... Kris pretty much said it all. It gets a little slow in the middle but besides that it was a pretty good movie.
