The Mission Tiki drive-in

Kris... Instead of reviewing a movie i will be reviewing a place to see movies. In this case its the Mission Tiki drive-in. www.missiontiki.com Located at
10798 Ramona Avenue Montclair, CA, 91763 it has 4 screens and is just 7 dollars a person to get in. And for that 7 dollars you get not 1 but 2 recent release movies. The sound is topnotch through your fm radio in your car. The place is clean and the snack bar food is pretty good. Try and get there early to get a prime middle parking spot but really there is always room so come late if you want. Bring some candy, soda or food and enjoy the drive in. Feels like a throw back to simpler times.

Unkown

Kris.... Unknown is about a man who awakens from a coma, only to discover that someone has taken on his identity and that no one, (not even his wife), believes him. With the help of a young woman, he sets out to prove who he is. Liam Neeson is in the prime of his career. Hot off the heels of Taken, this one is almost as good as that one. Diane Kruger was solid but I wasn't a big fan of the accent she had in this one. Ths only real disappointment was January Jones. She is a horrible actress..... Is that to rough? Oh well its true. But that aside I say check out Unknown.

Steph...I think Kris pretty much covered it all. Its not as good as Taken but still a good movie.

The Rite

Kris.... The Rite is the story of a young man who is on the path of priest hood but doesn't believe and wants to back out. Before he can he is sent to the Vatican for exorcism classes. There he is sent to hang out with a unorthodox priest (Anthony Hopkins). There is a young girl who needs an exorcism. The tag line is...."You can only defeat it when you believe". This movie was ok at best. Hopkins is always solid but not really capable of carrying a movie himself. The main actor is a newcomer named Colin O'Donoghue. He is pretty good here. Also a shout out for a small role for Rutger Hauer. So all in all this is maybe worth a rent. You wont absolutely love it but you wont hate it either.

Steph... Hmmmm how to describe this movie......how about 2 hours of nothing. I was so bored! I like Anthony Hopkins but this movie was soooo predictable. Seriously, don't waste your time.

Waiting For Superman

Waiting For Superman Pictures, Images and Photos

Steph...... This is one of the best documentaries that I have seen in a while. It's honest, depressing, uplifting, and realistic all at the same time. "Waiting for Superman" is a documentary about the sorry state of public schools and the people who are trying to change them for the better. This documentary follows 5 different kids from all over the country, who are different ages and come from different backgrounds who all go to public schools. For one reason or another the public schools aren't cutting it and their parents are deperate to find the best way to ensure their child gets a good education. This all comes to a head at the end when all these children are put into a lottery (there are limited openings) to get into a better charter school at the end of the movie. I was tring very hard not to cry during the results of the lottery. This is definitely a must see, especially if you have kids.
